Matt Caporale, Executive Director  

Matt Caporale is the Executive Director of Career Development at the University of New Haven, where he brings extensive experience in the field of career development with a strong track record of building and improving programs at colleges and universities. His major areas of focus within higher education and career development lie in strategic planning, internship program development, creating partnerships with faculty, alumni, and senior administration, team building and management, and in creating a collaborative, engaging, and fun learning and self-discovery environment for students. One of Matt’s unique career trends has been his involvement in, and leadership over, the building of university career centers from the ground up, including the Career Development Center at the University of New Haven. He has served in higher education roles such as Director of Career Services at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina; and as the Assistant Director of Internships & Career Programs at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. Previously held positions also include Staffing Manager with Robert Half International, Inc and Resume Writer/Career Consultant with CP Resumes, Inc in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Matt is a family man (wife Laura, daughter Elise, and son Nicholas), a student of history, a sports fan (Yankees!), and enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, writing, and cooking. He grew up in Schenectady, NY, lived in Charlotte, NC, and now resides in Guilford, CT.



Dina Wulinsky, Associate Director  

Dina Wulinsky is the Associate Director at UNH where she helps students and alumni through all phases of the career development process.  Dina provides assistance with exploring majors and careers, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation and job search strategies. She coordinates pre-professional and graduate school programming. Dina also instructs a Foundations for Success course for first year students, UNIV 1150: Discovering Majors and Careers and co-manages the Peer Career Advising program with the Executive Director.

In addition to her student-focused work, Dina takes a lead role in working with the Executive Director on establishing and evaluating assessment metrics and strategic planning.

Dina graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Relations and obtained a Master of Science degree in Counseling with a concentration in College Student Personnel from Shippensburg University in PA.

Prior to coming to UNH, Dina was a Career Counselor and Academic Advisor for Penn State University, York campus. She has also held several positions in the non-profit industry.



Kathy Forkin, Assistant Director, Career Preparation  

As Assistant Director, Career Preparation Programs for the University of New Haven, Kathy provides individual assistance with students and alumni on their resumes, cover letters, job searches and mock interviews. She conducts workshops on resumes, interviewing skills, networking techniques, and workshops for specific degree programs. Kathy promotes the Career Development Center by making presentations to clubs, classes, student residence halls, and other organizations. She also assists in the collection, tabulation, and analysis of outcome information. Kathy supervises and trains graduate assistants and other student staff.

Kathy taught two semester sessions of Freshmen Experience class that met weekly to help freshmen adapt to college life. Kathy was a presenter for NSEE at their conference held at Disney, September 2008 on the UNH Mentor Match program and presented at the Educational Policy Conference on Retention in Chicago, IL, on  the UNH Coaching Program, June 2010.

Kathy’s previous employment included being the Office Manager for Cheney & Company, a public relations and marketing firm in New Haven. While there, she supported the president and her staff in all administrative functions, including arranging travel plans, organizing exhibits, and coordinating conference participation and promotional mailings. Kathy also worked for the American Cancer Society in the past, where she was responsible for team registration, documentation, and other related duties for three Relay events. While at ACS, Kathy created and maintained a highly effective volunteer workforce of over 30 people. She provided leadership in the development of an information support staff system, which resulted in the application of improved income development.

Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts, History degree from the University of New Haven.



Amanda Kehoe, Marketing & Technology Coordinator 

Amanda Kehoe is the Marketing & Technology Coordinator for the Career Development Center at the University of New Haven. She works to maintain digital platforms including, ChargerLink powered by AcadeMe, and the university portal (MyCharger). She also does all the office marketing including, but not limited to, creating event/informational fliers, promoting on social media, planning fun events, working with her intern on new promotional projects, and helping students create a personal brand that they love. Amanda also helps students on creating captivating LinkedIn profiles and often assists with everyday technical difficulties. She works diligently with the Employer Relations Director to plan off-campus excursions for students to visit and network with employers at prominent organizations such as, NBC Universal, Barnum Financial Group, and Mohegan Sun. Miss Kehoe enjoys her role at the Career Center, because her tasks change week to week. Amanda attended her first career based software conference in June 2015, where she networked with career services professionals from around the country.

Before her role in Career Development, Amanda was a student at the University of New Haven, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Through her courses, she gained strong skills in writing, public relations, advertising, web & graphic design. She was a marketing intern for the Beckerman Recreation Center on the UNH campus, and was a talented member of the 5,6,7,8 Dance Team. She likes to share her passion of dance with young children as a teacher, and in her spare time Amanda enjoys going to the beach with her friends, choreographing dance routines, and visiting her family in Massachusetts. She is well versed in all types of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, latin, hip hop, and lyrical. You can find her teaching Zumba & dance cardio at the Beckerman Recreation Center during the week and getting her MBA at the University of New Haven at night.


Katie George, Office Coordinator    

Katie George is our Office Coordinator in the CDC. She helps make sure the everyday operations of the office run smoothly. She sets up appointments and diffuses the daily foot traffic to help the staff accommodate all who stop in the Career Development Center. Katie also supervises the student staff in the office and works with them to complete large scale projects, as well as other tasks that benefit the center. Katie oversees the event planning of the fall and spring career fairs as well as the spring engineering and science career fair.

Katie graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a BS in Communications. She has been active in the field of marketing and communications, and is working towards earning a Graduate Marketing Certificate here at University of New Haven. During her undergraduate career Katie had the opportunity to do a semester abroad in England. This sparked her passion for traveling and since then she has been able to travel to many states and other countries. She is also a passionate yogi and is currently in the process of obtaining her RYT 200- Yoga Teacher Certification. Katie currently resides in Danbury, CT with her significant other, and their cat Vivian.
