Our Graduate Assistants are an integral part of what we do!

Our GA’s serve as career advisors, meeting with students to assist with career planning, resume and cover letter writing, interview training, and job/internship search training. They conduct our on-campus workshops and serve as team leaders for our career fairs.

Devin Ossi, Graduate Assistant    

My name is Devin Ossi and I am from Tampa, Florida. I am in the Masters program for Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I enjoy hiking, fishing, and cooking. As you can see I am a fan of the Oxford comma. If I had to trade lives with anyone, it would be Gordon Ramsay. I plan to retire by 35, live in a tiny home, and travel to all of the national parks.

 

Liane Povilonis, Graduate Assistant    

Hi! My name is Liane, and I am a Graduate Assistant here at the CDC. I help conduct various workshops, and work with students to develop their resumes, cover letters and overall career path. I am a graduate student studying Industrial Organizational Psychology, and hope to one day work as a consultant to design efficient workplace systems. I enjoy hiking, photography and talking about my dog, Digby. Please stop by to utilize the many resources that the CDC has to offer- I look forward to meeting you!

 

Melissa Pierre, Graduate Student Worker   

My name is Melissa Pierre, and I am a second-year graduate student at the University of New Haven. I am from Jamaica, NY and I am currently working towards my degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psych.  I enjoy traveling and being able to meet all kinds of people.

Here at career services, I focus mostly on helping students transition from college to the professional world. We have many resources and advice for students of all degrees. Make sure to drop by; we are always here to help. I look forward to working with you!

 

Tanisha Mair, Graduate Student Worker   

My name is Tanisha Mair and I am from Milford,CT. I am second year double master’s degree candidate in Business Administration and Public Administration. My favorite parts about my degree programs are the management and organizational themes.  I enjoy practicing Mixed Martial Arts and staying current on Pop Culture. You can normally find me hanging out downtown New Haven, at Orange campus or working in the CDC. Cover letters are my guilty pleasure!
